New Leaf Design Co.

Role:

Principal, Web Design and Development

A web design and development business primarily catering to local small businesses and individuals looking to upgrade their online presence. The following is a small selection of projects.

Mendocino Coast Children's Fund

Role:

Web Design and Development

MCCF had an outdated and messy site. As the pandemic began to affect the northern California coast, getting a new site up quickly to help direct families with children in need to the proper resources was key. Taking an agile approach I've been able to expand the narrative and presence of the organization as a brand and increase new usership over 30% since last year.

Pivotal Consulting

I built Pivotal Consulting's website in their startup phase and we've been through one full revision as the company continues to grow.

I designed a mark integral to their logo which also serves as a custom interactive graphic to illustrate the company's process.

Mayan Fusion

Role:

Web Design and Development

Mayan Fusion was determined to keep their heads above water during the pandemic and keep bringing people great food and atmosphere. They had a website but it was outdated and ineffectual. Along with giving them a fresh clean look, I made the menu easy to read and we worked out a way to make the menu updates easy.

Functional and Funded

Role:

Web Design and Development

Harvey B. Chess needed a website that looked better, was easier to use, and easier to update than what he had, in order to market and sell his book; Functional and Funded. I designed a new logo, designed and built a new site, and provided him the tools and automations to make his marketing easier and more effective.

Harvey wanted a new logo representative of him with a nod to his humor. The logo I came up with is not only that but the hair, glasses, and mouth represent his initials.

Braggadoon

Role:

Web Design and Development

Braggadoon is a full creative agency where I've also assisted as Production Manager. They produce everything from business cards to full vehicle wraps. The business, under new ownership, was in bad need of a website overhaul. It has amped up their reputation and increased their business by helping people understand all that's possible in their little shop. Another agile project, the next step is an integrated sign and fine art print ordering system and expanded case studies.

Headlands Coffeehouse

Role:

Web Design and Development

Headland's website was outdated and not responsive for use across mobile devices. A lively and fun downtown coffeehouse, Headlands had just come into it’s third generation of employees turned owners and the use of the original owner Peter Gealey’s artwork was essential to the brand and maintaining that legacy. I explored a new site plan and design through low-fidelity mockups. Then developed a fully responsive new site, complete with fun animations. The Headlands owners are also able to easily update their music calendar, monthly artists, and menu changes themselves.

Peter Gealey, one of the Headlands founders, provided some custom artwork for the site like these coffee beans holding a scroll to use for section separators.
